About me
My primary research interest is the structural characterization of macromolecular assemblies
using a combination of modeling and biophysical experiments. Thereby I specialize on
using cryoelectron microscopic density information, primarily from
Cryoelectron Tomography, and more recently Small-angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS)
data of solutions.
Currently, I am starting my own group at the Max-Planck Institute of Biochemistry
in Martinsried, Germany. My lab will focus on structure determination of membrane-associated
complexes.
