It compiles on a Mac.
If I start the python console with "./setup_environment.sh python", I can import IMP, but when leaving the console I have the following error message about (a memory error, apparently):

/usr/src/imp/imp-r2.2.0$ ./setup_environment.sh python
Python 2.7.1 (r271:86832, Jul 31 2011, 19:30:53)
[GCC 4.2.1 (Based on Apple Inc. build 5658) (LLVM build 2335.15.00)] on darwin
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>> import IMP
>>>
python(7291) malloc: *** error for object 0x7fff7152f860: pointer being freed was not allocated
*** set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug

What happens if you replace BOOST_FOREACH in that header with IMP_FOREACH?
