Hi,

Since gcc libraries are different MODELLER will not work under 8.0. I will work on this problem soon. 8.0 is not reliable OS yet, so I would advise not to rush to it.

I downloaded modeller6v2 and 6v1.  Both packages run correctly on a SGI (IRIX 6.5), but when I install them on a Redhat linux box I get an error message at the welcome screen that says “Illegal instruction” and then the program exits.



Has anyone else seen this before?  Is there a fix?
