Reg :Error message: not able to open file
Hi,
I am trying to do a simple modelling similar to the basic tutorial given in modeller website. I have converted my sequence to PIR format and have kept all files including the pdb database file in same directory but when i run the script build_profile.py, I am getting the following error :
"cannot open file filename.ali: no such file or directory"
To check the problem i tried repeating the same exercise as basic tutorial with TvLDH.ali but still getting same error.
Please let me know what am I doing wrong.
Thanks, Nanda.
Hi,
Still struggling with the same problem i mentioned in the previous mail. I tried running the basic example (downloaded from modeller website) but even that example is giving the same error : TvLDH.ali cannot be opened: no such file or directory.
I have previously used the same script and it always worked. Please let me know if something is changed in modeller recently?? Do i need to install 9.11 in order for it to work. Please help me solve this problem, its kind of urgent for me.
Thanks and Regards, Nanda

"filename.ali" needs to be in the same directory you're running the script in. Make sure you have named it correctly.
