Redhat 8.0 Error

Hello

I downloaded modeller6v2 and 6v1. Both packages run correctly on a SGI (IRIX 6.5), but when I install them on a Redhat linux box I get an error message at the welcome screen that says "Illegal instruction" and then the program exits.

Has anyone else seen this before? Is there a fix?

That's not totally true. I've installed MODELLER 6.1 under redhat 8.0 and its working fine.

I tried both 6v1 and 6v2 with the same exact error. I am in the process of installing RedHat 7.3 to see if the program error is resulting from updated libraries (which I am almost sure is the problem as said from your previous email). I actually installed Linux for the sole purpose of making a modeling server, and just downloaded the latest version not knowing 8.0 is so new.

I will keep the list updated with what I find with the re-install to 7.3
