Hello,
I am currently using Modeller 4 and need a phosphoserine residue. Unfortunately, this residue is not defined in the modlib files and I do not have access to CHARM or QUANTA to be able to create it (a problem to be fixed shortly - hopefully). Does anyone have such a residue defined and would be willing to share?
Thanks in advance, Voula Kanelis
Hi,
I just checked and found out that even our in house version of MODELLER, 6v2 (soon to be released though) is still using: # Version: August 13, 1993 # # LIBRARY OF RESIDUE TYPES AND RESIDUE PATCHES # # MODELLER 1.1, Copyright Andrej Sali
Only hope is that someone on the modeller_usage list might have phosphoserine residue.
Good luck, Bozidar

It takes some time, but not much to define a new residue type manually. Please follow the steps of FAQ 17 on page 25-26 in the new manual ( the one on our web site).
best wishes,
Andras

Hi,
In the light of this discussion I invite all of you to submit their "custom build" residues and I will try to incorporate them either in one of the future editions of MODELLER, or make them available on our web site.
Thanks in advance, Bozidar
